Diane McGowan

Diane McGowan, 74, of Marinette passed away on October 23, 2025 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.
Diane was born on August 5, 1951 to LaVerne and Edmere Bancroft. She lived in Marinette all her life, graduating from Marinette High School in 1970. She married David McGowan in 1970, they were married for 55 years.
In her early years she enjoyed bowling in a league. The family had a backyard swimming pool for 33 years, and it made her day when people would come to swim – especially the grandkids, great-grandkids and friends so she could serve treats and drinks to make everyone happy. Diane loved to cook and bake for all her guests and is probably best known for her apple bars and pie, during apple season she couldn't make enough some days, not to mention her soups.
She was known by many names by her grandkids. Nana and GG are some that made her smile from ear to ear.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents; a cousin, Gary Kline; nephew, Dan Lorenz; and in-laws, Regina (Dolly) and Pat McGowan.
She is survived by her husband, David McGowan; children, Nichole Everard and Jeremy (Sara), both of Menominee; grandchildren, Ashley (Drew) Buyarski, David (Roseann) Everard, Keesha (Zach) McGowan, Noah Everard, Ian McGowan, Ian Kordish, Noah Kordish and Dylan Masseth; great-grandchildren, Addison Buyarski, Dax Buyarski, Isabelle Everard, Lincoln Everard, Harmoney Dura, Kashton Dura, Eloise Kordish and Skyla Kordish; siblings, Richard (Meyong) Rebbie of Clarksville Tenn., Leola (Dolly) Lorenz of Peshtigo, Barbara Bancroft of Marinette, Robert (Pat) Bancroft of Menominee, William (Jean) Bancroft of Porterfield, David (friend, Nancy) Bancroft of Sussex, VA and Debbie (Richard) Koening of Menominee; as well as many nieces and nephews; and Brandon Broberg, her computer tech.
Visitation will be held at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 3:30 until 6:30 p.m., with a service beginning at 6:30 p.m.
