Diane Watson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Charles R. Step Funeral Home - Redford on Feb. 5, 2024.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Mae Watson, a beloved daughter, mother, and grandmother, who peacefully left us on January 31, 2024, at the age of 79. Diane was predeceased by her parents, Leon (Bill) and Ruth Sibson, as well as her cherished husband Kenneth Watson. She leaves behind a legacy of love and is survived by her three sons, Brett (Lisa), Tom (Sonya), and Kris (Nikki), her sister Alice, cousin Shirley, sister-in-law Kay Watson, and her adored grandchildren, affectionately known as "Granny's Angels": Kirstyn, Ryan, Sydney, Nathan, Kayla, and Kourtney.
Diane dedicated many years to the nursing profession, beginning her career at Botsford Hospital and later at Cambridge Nursing Home, eventually retiring from Dr. Soclof's allergy office. Her nurturing and compassionate nature defined her both in her professional life and within her family. An active member of the Corvette Club of Michigan since 1968, she was honored with a lifetime membership, reflecting her deep commitment to the community she cherished. Always finding joy in the company of loved ones, Diane's life was enriched by her close circle of family and friends. Diane showed great compassion for others.
In her leisure time, Diane found delight in watching her favorite television show, The Voice, where she especially admired Blake Shelton. She also took comfort in following the latest weather updates on the Weather Channel. She found solace in daily religious readings and enjoyed engaging her mind with puzzles such as Sudoku and crossword puzzles.
Diane will be dearly missed by all who knew her, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her remarkable life.
A visitation for Diane will be held on Thursday, February 8th from 1pm-6pm and Friday, February 9th from 2pm-7pm. A service for Diane will take place on Saturday, February 10th at 9:30am all held at Charles Step Funeral Home.
