Diann P Sauer

Diann Piekutowsi Sauer, 83, of Bethlehem, died on Sunday, January 4, 2026. She was the wife of Joseph F. Sauer for 57 years. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Marien (Tracz) Piekutowski. Diann was a member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church. She graduated from Liberty High School in 1960, graduated from West Chester University in 1964 with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree, and graduated from Lehigh University in 1968 with a Master of Education degree. She taught in the Bethlehem School District until 1972. She worked as a Quality Assurance Supervisor for Fischer Clinical Services. She loved going to the casino, going on cruises, reading, gardening, bowling, and her cat "Greyson." She enjoyed her numerous cruises, especially to South America, the Mediterranean and Hawaii.
Survivors: She is remembered by her son Cory M. of Springfield, Virginia; her sister Karen Wilson of Allentown; and her sister Paula Gillette and her husband Gary of Nokomis, Florida; her sister-in-law, Joan Wilvert, and her husband Gregg; her sister-in-law Linda Sauer and five nieces and two nephews. She was predeceased by her son Christopher J. Sauer and her brother-in-law, Dr. Thomas S. Sauer.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Road, Bethlehem, PA 18018. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018 and also on Friday morning at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church from 10:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will conclude services at Holy Saviour Cemetery- 2575 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18017. Diann's services have been entrusted to Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
