SEELEY, Dianna Kaye, a loving and kind woman, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the age of 78, in
Dayton, Ohio, after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on Thursday, February 20, 1947, in New Richmond, Ohio. Dianna's warmth and friendly spirit illuminated the lives of those around her throughout her entire life.
Dianna's journey began as a bright-eyed girl in New Richmond, where she cultivated a love for people that would define her as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and dear friend. A graduate of Stebbins High School, Dianna's nurturing nature and zest for life were unmistakable. Her career path led her to Lexis Nexis, where she retired after years of dedicated service. Prior to that, she spent much of her professional life in the hospitality industry, bringing joy to patrons at several fine dining restaurants with her infectious smile and a genuine interest in their stories.
Family was the cornerstone of Dianna's world. She was a loving mother to her three children, Tammy K. (Andy) Lawwill-Votaw, Christopher J. (Kandi) Conner, and Melanie K. (Michael DiFlora) Lee. Her role as 'Grandma' was one she cherished deeply, sharing her love with her seven grandchildren, Jessica Conley, Corey (Bevin Kerechanin) Lawwill, Ben (Meghin) Lawwill, Brooklyn (Nikos) Kladitis, MacKenzie (Sam Bartel) Conner, Reagan Conner, and Kendall Conner, as well as, her seven great-grandchildren, Max Conley, Alex Conley, Arden Kerechanin, Johanna Kladitis, Miles Lawwill, Maverick Lawwill, and Elsie Kladitis. Her legacy extended to her step-grandchildren, Tori, Chris, Katie, Mikey, Angel, and Lexi, and her step-great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Kensley, all of whom felt the warmth of her embrace and the unwavering support of her presence.
Dianna's love story with her late husband, Robert L. Seeley, was one for the ages. Their reunion in eternity on the heels of his passing on February 12, 2021, marks a bittersweet chapter in the tale of their loving devotion. She is survived by her sisters, Brenda (Kenny) Johnson and Terry Walker. Her family circle included her nephew, Jimmy (Lisa) Parizek, and niece, Suzy Parizek. And a very close cousin that was like a brother, Bill (Anne) Masterson.
Beyond her family, Dianna's heart held a special place for her childhood friends, Barbara Reindel (John) and Linda Inman (Mike), with whom she shared a remarkable friendship spanning 65 years. Her bond with her very good friend, Lynn Blount, was one of mutual respect and affection, reflecting the depth of connections she fostered throughout her life.
Dianna's impact on the world was marked by her loving, kind, and friendly nature. She approached life with an open heart, welcoming new friendships and nurturing old ones with equal fervor. Her presence could light up a room, and her laughter was a melody that resonated with all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Dianna's life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. She instilled in her children and grandchildren the values of compassion, resilience, and joy. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide them, as they remember her not just for the battles she fought but for the love she gave so freely.
As we bid farewell to Dianna Kaye Seeley, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey defined by the love she shared and the lives she touched.
