Dianne Rogers Burch, age 83, passed away peacefully at home on the evening of August 8, 2025. She was born on April 29, 1942 in Collins, MS. She graduated from Taylorsville High School where she played basketball and was also a cheerleader. After graduating, she moved with friends to New Orleans, LA where she met her husband Woody Burch. They raised three children in River Ridge, LA. After her husband died, she moved to Carriere, MS where she built her home in the Hide-A-Way Lake community. Years later she returned to River Ridge to be closer to her family. When her health began to decline she lived with her daughter in Harahan, LA until she passed away.

Dianne was a secretary at Riverside Church for 15 years and an administrative assistant for the Department of Anesthesiology at Ochsner Medical Center. When she lived in Carriere, MS she was a secretary for Dungan Engineering in Picayune, MS.

She enjoyed painting, gardening, traveling and snow skiing. Her favorite travels were to the Holy Land with her church group. Dianne was an avid quilter for 22 years, traveling to quilt shows out of state and attending quilting retreats with her friends. She sewed quilts for her family, foster children in CASA, Quilts of Valor for veterans and service members, disaster victims and animal shelters. Dianne had a strong, kind and caring soul, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters, Sandra Burch Dennis and Regenia Burch Hieb (Todd), granddaughter Megan Cantillo Santangelo (Christopher), sister Faye Rogers Marley, and brother Malcolm Rogers. She is also survived by nephews Cole Marley and Tyler Rogers, and niece Ginny Rogers Brady. She was affectionately called "Granny" by her six grandchildren, Alexis, Heather, Megan, Dorrance, Barrett, and Gabriella, and sixteen great-grandchildren, Cale, Hayden, Sophia, Kyla, Jayden, Kaia, Simeon, Mackenna, Carter, Nevaeh, Jillian, Reese, Colbie, Lyrik, Zander and Jerzey.

She is preceded in death by her son David Burch, husband Woody Burch, Sr., mother Geneva Myers, father B.R. Rogers, stepson Woody Burch, Jr., and her beloved dachshund Daphne.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Heart of Hospice staff for their wonderful, compassionate care.
