Burtis Carter Sr. Obituary
Burtis spent many years working in the Decorating Department at Maison Blanche before becoming self-employed installing drapes and window coverings. Later, he continued his hardworking spirit through positions with Walmart and New Orleans Novelties.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Ann Rohline; his parents; and two cherished grandchildren, David Charles Carter Jr. and Candy Lynn Carter.
Burtis is survived by his three sons: George H. Carter (Cathy), David C. Carter Sr. (Rebecca "Becky"), and Burtis D. Carter Jr. (Roxanne). He also leaves behind his treasured grandchildren: Laura Labat (the late Michael Labat Jr.), Jody Domingo Jr. (Crystina), Burtis D. Carter III, Megan E. Carter, and Henry E. Carter; great-grandchildren: Kayla A. Ragan (Brennon), Michael A. Labat III, Trey M. Labat, and Teagan Domingo; and one great-great-grandchild, Rylee Myrick.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
