Dianne (Conley) Hosford, 68, of Downingtown, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Bowen Isaac "Chip" Hosford Jr. The couple spent almost 48 amazing years of marriage together.
Born in Washington D.C. and raised in Chevy Chase, MD, Dianne was the daughter of the late Maurice and Marion (Lennon) Conley. She was the eighth of nine children. She graduated from Bethesda Chevy Chase High School.
In 2000 at age 42, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University. She spent 20 plus years working for Synthes and Johnson & Johnson Depuy Synthes as a mechanical engineer in the medical device business. She was passionate about her work, fascinated by how devices were produced and often talked about new projects at home.
She loved the outdoors, especially spending time at the beach, hiking, traveling, bike riding, and gardening.
However, for Dianne her most important and rewarding roles were as a mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren, who adored her, called her "Mannie." Dianne created a warm home for her children so they knew she loved them and they in turn loved her. That focus on family was paramount in any decisions she made. She cherished watching her children grow into loving people.
Dianne had no regrets about her life except that she would not get to see her grandchildren grow up. Her mantra was "No regrets; be happy."
In addition to her husband, Dianne is survived by her children: Sarah Barron (Joe) of Dallas, TX, Dianne Morales (Robert) of Havertown, Anna Wakefield (Anthony) of Naples, Italy, Lauren Hosford (Josh Mustin) of Havertown, and Bowen Isaac Hosford III of Downingtown; grandchildren: Jasper, Georgia, Andrea, Julian, Aubree, Anthony Jr., Alexander, Adelina, and Abigail; siblings: Marianne Hodgson, Melissa Schottler, Leslie Dougherty, Sean Conley, Julie Hajjar, and Patricia Collins.
In addition to her parents, Dianne was preceded in death by her brothers: Maurice Conley III and Christopher Conley.
