Dianne Spawn Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by A. G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc. on Jul. 17, 2025.
Dianne V. Spawn, age 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville, NY, the same city where her story began on September 17, 1946.

Dianne was the daughter of the late John and Valeria (Hlozansky) Mihalik.

Professionally, Dianne dedicated many years as a registered nurse at various locations such as Johnstown Hospital and Tryon School for boys in Johnstown. Her commitment to service extended beyond her professional role as she also served her community as a former intermediate EMT with JAVAC for 25 years. After retirement, she then fulfilled her dream by working at Disney World. A firm believer in faith, Dianne was an active member of the Holy Trinity Parish. She found great comfort and strength in her faith, which she radiated all around her. In her spare time, Dianne enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and most importantly – spending time with her family.

Dianne is survived by her devoted husband Alan Spawn, with whom she shared nearly six decades of marriage since their union on August 20, 1966. Together, they built a legacy of love that lives on through their children, Jennifer Miller (Christopher) and Rebecca Miller (Nathan Hennessey), and her cherished grandchildren, Brandon, Holly, Taylor, and Cameron, as well as several great grandchildren; Aunt Millie Busch; along with numerous nieces, nephews Luke and Adam Keeler, and cousins, also survive her.

In addition to her parents, Dianne was predeceased by her siblings, John D. Mihalik and Linda Keeler.

Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Barter and Donnan Funeral Home, 1 N. Melcher Street, Johnstown followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, with Deacon Dick Solar officiating.

Internment will immediately follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Johnstown.
