Dillard James Vaughn, 91, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at his residence. 

Born in Sophia, West Virginia, on June 9, 1933, he was the son of the late Gideon Marshall Vaughn and Rosa Lovell Vaughn. He was the husband of the late Annie Ruth Wyatt Spearman Vaughn and was first married to the late Mary Margaret Hopkins Vaughn.

Mr. Vaughn was a member of Dependent Baptist Church and retired after 22 years as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. After his retirement from the Air Force, he went to work at Michelin Tire where he was a dedicated employee for 15 years. 

He is survived by four daughters, Ella Vaughn Lewis and her husband James, Nancy Vaughn Hall and her husband Rick, Linda Vaughn McPeters and her husband Jeff and Desiree Vaughn Powell; one step daughter, Sharon Bobo; two brothers, Clyde Vaughn and Carlos Vaughn and his wife Glenda; one sister Shirley Lilly and six grandchildren, Jaimie Lewis, Jimmy Lewis, Jordan Hall, Blake Hall, Cameron Powell and Annie Brigman and her husband Lee. 

He was also predeceased by one daughter, Debra Findley; one sister, Audrey Edwards and six brothers, Raymond, Elmer, Buford, Roy, Richard and Clarence.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 10:00-10:45 AM at Dependent Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM in the church with Pastor John Hinkle officiating. 

Burial with Military Honors provided by Boiling Springs Post 200 will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, South Carolina.

Memorial donations may be made to: Dependent Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 934, Inman, South Carolina 29349. 

The family is at his home.
