Dillon Lee Mitchell, age 29, of Ft. Oglethorpe, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Mitchell; grandparents, Freddie and Faye Mitchell, and John Morgan; and great-grandparents, Dodaddy Hollis, and Ellard and Mildred Mitchell.
Dillon worked as a caddy for McLemore Cove and could light up a room with a smile. He had a servant's heart and was willing to help everybody.
Dillon is survived by his brother, Ryver Mitchell; mother, Kristie Morgan; girlfriend, Gabby Evans; grandmother, Veronica Morgan; great-grandmother, Sue Hollis; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The funeral service will take place at 4:00 pm on Saturday, September 28, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mike Peterson officiating.
Interment will be at Arnold Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Ryver Mitchell, Derek Morgan, Kole Stoker, Evan Davis, James Malcolm, Austin Gulledge, and Chandler Tolbert.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
