Con profunda tristeza comunicamos el fallecimiento de Dionicia (Cuca) Rodríguez, amorosa matriarca y esposa y compasiva amiga. Nacida el 7 de diciembre de 1952 en La Vega,Rep'blica Dominicana, Dionicia llevó calidez y alegría a quienes la conocieron. Su devoción por su familia y por su fe fueron incomparables y siempre transmitió amor a quienes la rodeaban.
El amor de Dionicia por la vida era contagioso y su cálido carácter transformó su hogar en Filadelfia en un centro de reuniones familiares plenas de fraternidad y alegría. Excelente cocinera, convertía las comidas comunes en verdaderos festines donde siempre había un lugar disponible en la mesa. Amaba la jardinería cultivando la tierra con sus manos. Estuvo profundamente involucrada convertía su iglesia y su altruismo llegó a su país natal tocando muchas vidas y dejando una huella imborrable.
A Cuca le sobreviven su esposo Epifanio Rodríguez, sus hijos Yudizza, Maribel y Gregorio, sus hermanos Antonia, Carmen, Lucrecia, Natalí, Miguel, José, José (Chepe) y Hector, sus nietos Liliana, Ashley, Thomas, Mia, Jayden, Daniel y Natali, sus biznietos Madelyn, Aria, Matías, Alaia, Luna y Aquiles.
Los familiares y amigos quedan invitados a acompañarnos el martes 10 de junio de 5:00 PM a 7:00 PM en Lambie Funeral Home, 8000 Rowland Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19136. El servicio seguirá a las 7:00 p. m. en la funeraria.

With deep respect and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Dionicia "Cuca" Rodriguez, a loving matriarch, compassionate friend, dedicated homemaker, and a courageous pillar of strength. Born on December 7, 1952, in La Vega, Dominican Republic, Dionicia brought warmth and joy to everyone she met. Her devotion to her family and faith was truly unparalleled, and she often extended this love to everyone around her. To say that Dionicia was the beating heart of her family would be an understatement.
Dionicia's love for life was infectious. Her warm and inviting nature transformed her home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania into a hub of love, laughter, and family gatherings. An excellent cook, she turned ordinary meals into feasts and always had an open seat at her table. She found joy in gardening, her hands nurturing the soil as she nurtured her family. Dionicia was also deeply involved with her church and dedicated part of her time to helping her home country, the Dominican Republic. Her altruistic spirit touched countless lives and left an indelible mark on her community.
Cuca is survived by her loving husband, Epifanio Rodriguez for over 55 years; her children Yudizza Valdez, Maribel Valdez and Gregorio Valdez; her siblings, Antonia Rodriguez, Carmen Rodriguez, Lucrecia Rodriguez, Natali Rodriguez, Miguel Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez, and Hector Gonzalez; her cherished grandchildren Liliana Pena, Ashley Jaquez, Thomas Gregory Valdez, Mia Estevez, Jayden Estevez, Daniel Valdez, and Natali Valdez. great grandchildren, Madelyn, Aria, Matias, Alaia, Luna and Achilles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Conrado and Maria Rodriguez.
Relatives and friends of Dionicia's family are invited to her family on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 pm at Lambie Funeral Home, 8000 Rowland Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19136. The service will follow at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
We encourage all who knew and loved Cuca to share their memories of her and upload photos to the memorial page. Each story and picture shared will help to keep her spirit alive and bring comfort to those who loved her. Let us remember and celebrate the life of Dionicia Rodriguez, a woman of extraordinary love, compassion, dedication, and courage.
