In addition to her parents, Mrs. Claiborne was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Claiborne; and siblings, Bill Harper, Gordon Harper, Bobby Harper, Virgie Whitley, June Bowman.
Mrs. Claiborne is survived by son, James Michael Claiborne of Greenbrier; daughter, Peggy (Eddie) Slagle of Lafayette; grandchildren, Danielle Renee (Daniel) Greene of Cottontown, Daniel Chad Whitehead of Greenbrier, & Ashley Genelle (Stu) Mobley of Murfreesboro; four great grandchildren, Bridgette Madison & Annabeth Dixie Greene, Maura Sloan, & Laurel Scotlyn Mobley; sister, Shirley (Shep) Holmes of Westmoreland and sister, P. Rolark.
Dixie, also known to many as Ma-Ma, was a homemaker and her's was a home to so many. She loved being with her family more than anything. She attended Luton's Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for years. Dixie was a ray of spunky sunshine wherever she went. When she saw you, she greeted you with an open smile and a hug. She truly was one of a kind.
There will be a memorial service for Mrs. Claiborne at 10:00 am on July 7th, 2023 at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Bro. David Harper officiating.
Visitation for Mrs. Claiborne will be on July 7th, 2023 from 9:00 am until 10:00 am (service time) at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home
