Dixie Evinger Obituary

Dixie Lee (Vaughn) Evinger
August 29, 1936 - April 3, 2023
Raymore, Missouri - Dixie Lee (Vaughn) Evinger, age 86, of Raymore, Mo. passed peacefully from this world on April 03, 2023.
She was born to parents George E. and Dixie D. (Hill) Vaughn of Kansas City, Mo on August 29, 1936. She was a 1954 graduate of Southeast High School. She married Joseph L. Holt in 1954 and that marriage produced her three children. She later married Robert E. Evinger.
Dixie was a beautiful vivacious person with a zest for life. She loved playing cards and games with family and friends. She especially enjoyed her weekly "Farkle" game and was a group member for over 45 years.
First and foremost, Dixie loved her family. She considered motherhood her greatest accomplishment. She enjoyed many summers with her family at Lake of the Ozarks and Truman Lake. These are memories we will always cherish. She loved spending time with her sister and sister's family in Cody, Wyoming and later in Colorado and Arizona. She took pleasure in many opportunities to travel and vacation over the years.
Dixie was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Evinger, son Michael J. Holt and brother Jacque D. Vaughn. She is survived by her son Pat Holt and daughter Dianne Livingston (Brian); sister Sharon Warren (Dick); grandchildren Jennifer Klint (Shawn Hill), Rusty Holt (Cassie), Rachel Holt, Gabe Livingston and Courtney Livingston; great-grandchildren Ava Jean Klint, Elle, Payton, Grayson and OakLeigh Holt, and her nieces and nephews.
Dixie did not want a funeral. Per her wishes, there will be a private family gathering.
She was greatly loved and will be missed by all.
