Dolan Porterfield Obituary

Dolan was preceded in passing by Chip Porterfield, Lanora Porterfield, and Lance Porterfield. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Vinson; grandsons, Dalton Vinson and Stefan Pearcey; son-in-law, Steve Pearcey; granddaughter, Larae Smith; great-grandchildren, Payden Smith, Cashen Smith; and six additional great-grandchildren who brought him great joy.
Dolan had a passion for training horses and loved spending time with friends and family. His strong spirit, good humor, and love for the simple joys of life left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sac River Cowboy Church Event Center, 6448 State Hwy EE, Springfield, MO, with a service to follow at 11:00 AM. Dolan will be laid to rest at Brookline Cemetery in Brookline, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Dynamic Strides in honor of Dolan's memory and lifelong love of horses.
Care and arrangements have been entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. – DeGraffenreid-Wood Crematory, Springfield, Missouri.

Michelle and family I wish you strength for the passing of a No Fear Dude. Dolan was one of a kind and created lots of Fun when around. Your parents were sweet neighbors. Gena & Jeff sure grew up having good times with you & Chip. Love Much Sue
