Dolly Melton Obituary
Dolly married the love of her life, Orville "Glen" Melton, on June 14, 1976. They joined families and spent nearly 47 years caring for each other. Dolly made a lasting impression with everyone she met with her warm smile, sense of humor, and the love she demonstrated for her family. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, country music, and spending time with her family. Dolly will be forever missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Buster, Henry, Mack Jr., and Betty.
Dolly is survived by her husband, Glen, of the home, their children: Kathy Turner, John Pippen (Kellie), and Denita Ross all of Springfield, Missouri, Michael Melton, Kansas, and Misty Melton, Chillocothe, Missouri; her siblings, Linda, Susie, Mary Lou, Nancy, Mildred and Bob; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.
A visitation will be held Monday, June 12, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. till 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home, North. Burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. Fond memories and condolences may be shared on this website.
