Don Denham, 88, of Pampa, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 in Pampa.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Central Baptist Church with Brother Paul Nachtigall, retired Baptist minister, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Don was born January 5, 1935 in Pampa to Willis and Pauline Denham. He graduated from White Deer High School in 1954 and went on to attend one year of college at West Texas State University. On August 26, 1955 in Skellytown, he married the love of his life, Patsy Moran. They recently celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. After they married, they moved to Spearman, where they spent 30 years. In 1991, they made Pampa their home. Don worked for Skelly Oil, Getty Oil, and later became Texaco for over 40 years. He retired in 2000. Don and Patsy were long-time members of Central Baptist Church. He was a Mason and a Shriner for many years, being a member of several lodges. Don enjoyed boating and fishing. He had a love for trout fishing specifically. He was able to demonstrate on how to be patient while fishing. He also enjoyed watching football, taking care of his lawn, and doing woodwork projects. Don had many joys in life, being a husband, a father, and Grandpa Don were at the top of his list.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy of the home; son, Randy Denham and wife Vivian; daughter, Robin Hargis and husband Kent; five grandchildren, Holly Lutostanski and husband Andrew, Callie Stelter and husband Jimmy, Lanna Cappella and husband Jon, Sam Denham, and Mary Beth Hicks and husband Jordan; and 10 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the caring nurses with BSA Hospice of the Southwest and the Harrington Cancer and Health Foundation for all of the love and support they showed Don and Patsy.
