Donald Bearce Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Saul Colonial Home on Mar. 30, 2025.
Donald R. Bearce, 80, of Hamilton, NJ, passed away March 11, 2025 at Florida Northside Hospital.
Born in Trenton, NJ, Donald was a graduate of Steinert High School, Class of 1962. He continued his education at Rider University, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. He went on to serve two years in Vietnam from 1966-1968.
Upon return, he worked for the state of New Jersey for thirty years as an accountant. He eventually became a business manager at Yardville Correctional Facility, while also having his own business as a tax preparer.
He retired from the state at the young age of 55, enjoying the next twenty-five years of his well-deserved retirement.
He eventually grew tired of NJ winters and found Florida to be his new home.
When in Florida, Donald enjoyed swimming and playing shuffle board in his community. He also enjoyed card nights at his nephew's house where he was known as the "sand bagger", always playing to win.
In New Jersey, Donald enjoyed spending time with his son and family and watching his grandchildren's sports events. He also enjoyed going to Parx casino for a little gambling.
Predeceased by his parents, Dan and Helen Ciebiera (Mayer), his brother, Raymond and wife, Margaret, and his sister, Marlene Nawrocik (Bearce).
He is survived by his brother, Ronald and wife, June; his son, Donald and wife, Jill; his grandchildren, Camryn and Tyler Bearce, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690, where a memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m.
