Beatrice L. Bearce "Betty Bea", 88, of Sagamore, PA, formerly of Ripley, NY, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 19, 2025.
Betty Bea was born in Oil City, PA to Ralland Blauser and Eleanor (Olds) Mokszanowski on January 27, 1937. She married William B. Bearce, Jr. on June 25, 1960 and with whom she had eight children.
Betty Bea graduated from Jamestown Community College with a certificate as a CNA. She was a member of Stateline United Methodist Church in North East, PA since 1966 and a lifetime member of 30 years for Ripley Hose Company #1 Auxiliary. Betty Bea was a current member of Life Armstrong County in Kittanning, PA. She was a huge contributor to several charities including Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, Shriners Children's Research Hospital, and St. Joseph's Indian School.
Surviving is her brother, Rolland "Bud" (Maryann) Blauser of Erie, PA; her children, Rallinda "Corkey" (Paul) Lanphere, Jr. of Westfield, NY, William "Bill" Bearce, III of Farmington, NM, Eleanor "Rene" (Wade Griffith) Bearce of Payson, AZ, Diana "Dee" (Ken Baer) Bearce, with whom she made her home in Sagamore, PA, LeRoy "Skippy" (Christine) Bearce of Union City, Pa, Kenneth "Kenny" (Angie) Bearce of Ripley, NY, and adopted daughter, Patricia "Patti" Bearce of Mogadore, OH; 33 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty Bea was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, William B. Bearce, Jr.; sons, Kip and Robert; adopted son, Floyd Wensel, Sr., great granddaughter, Khloe Salzillo; great grandson, Kristopher Bearce; four sisters, Joanne Messinger, MaryAnne Shreve, Nancy Baker, and Carol Ann Shawl; and her best friend of 63 years, Rosemarie "Tootsie" Tufts.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Carson Boyer Funeral Home, 724 W Main Street, Rural Valley, PA, 16249. On Monday, March 24, 2025, Betty Bea will be transported to Stateline Methodist Church, 12591 E Main Road, North East, PA, 16248 where an additional visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow from the church with Pastor Kim Hummel, officiating.
Burial will take place in East Ripley Cemetery in Ripley, NY.
In lieu of flowers, Betty Bea's wishes were for donations to be sent to a charity of one's choice.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Konitsky and the staff of Life Armstrong County, the caring staff at the Life "Small Home", and special aide and friend, Crystal Miller.
