Donald (Don) Joseph Bennett, 79, of O’Fallon, passed away on June 13, 2024 in St. Charles, Missouri. He was born on September 29, 1944 in New Canton, Illinois and was the son of Virgil Fay and Ollie Hazel (Blacketter) Bennett. Don was united in marriage to Rosa Reynolds on September 9, 1972 in St. Charles, Missouri and to this union one son was born. After graduating from St. Charles High School, Don went on to serve in the United States Army. After serving in the Army, Don worked for the United States Postal Service as a Clerk for over 30 years.
Don is survived by his loving wife of nearly 52 years, Rosa (nee Reynolds); son, Dominic (Lori) Bennett; grandchildren, Clayton, Austin, and Wyatt. Don is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Ollie; siblings, Mary Williams, Lois Quinlin, Nora Delger, Naomi Hammett, George Bennett, Patsy Menefee, Nellie Midyett, Violeta (Doodle) Bennett, William Bennett, and Robert Bennett.
Celebration of Life and other arrangements will be posted soon. Expressions of sympathy may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project.
