Donald Pinkard Crouch, 79, of High Point, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his beloved wife and family.
Born on July 18, 1946, Don was the son of the late Jack Crouch and Mae Pinkard Crouch. After completing school, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he honorably served for four years as a Financial Pay Master. Following his military service, Don built two long and successful careers- first as Vice President of Dust-Tex LHC, then became owner and founder of Sanico, Inc.
Don lived life fully and with great enthusiasm. He loved riding motorcycles, riding in vintage cars, RV camping, and quilting. He was also an avid University of Virginia fan. Most days, you could find him at the Corner Grill, sharing a meal and laughter with his friends. Among his greatest joys was the special bond he shared with his granddaughter, Taylor. Together they built countless Lego creations and treasured their breakfasts at Chick-fil-A before school-or at the Corner Grill during the summer. Don will forever be remembered for the deep love he had for his family, his friends, and his dogs. To those who knew him best, he was the finest husband, father, and "Grandpa" they could have asked for.
Don is survived by his wife, Gail Morgan Crouch; his son, David Jackson Crouch (Amy); his granddaughter, Taylor Crouch; and his brothers-in-law, Marshall Morgan (Kathleen), Michael Morgan, and sister-n-law, Miriam Cook (David). He is also survived by his nephew, Matt Cook (Erika); and his nieces, Liz Winn (Chris), Carol Bitove (Nick), and Laurel Smith (Blair).
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in the chapel of First United Methodist Church, with Reverend Josh Barnes officiating. A private interment will follow.
Cumby Family Funeral Service of High Point is honored to serve the Crouch family during this time.
