Donald Lance Crowder

Donald Lance Crowder, affectionately known as Lance, passed away on June 22, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on October 24, 1964, Lance was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Lance was a dedicated cosmetologist at First Edition Hair Salon, where he brought beauty and joy to his clients for many years. His passion for his work was matched only by his love for sports, particularly basketball and golf, which he enjoyed both playing and watching.
A man of faith, Lance was a member of the Baptist community and carried his beliefs with him throughout his life. He was a proud graduate of East Henderson High School, where he formed friendships that lasted a lifetime.
Lance is preceded in death by his father, Donald Mack Crowder, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Howard and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Crowder. He leaves behind a loving family, including his son, Dawson Crowder; his mother, Norma Jean (Eulis) Triplett; his sister, Andrea "Andi" Jeanne (Bill) Harper; his brother, Patrick Howard Crowder; and nephews, Ivey and Pierce Harper. He is also survived by dear friends Mimzie Jeter and Mary Beth Champion, who were like family to him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 30th, at 2:00 PM at Bethel Wesleyan Church, located at 909 Tracy Grove Rd, Flat Rock, NC. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.

Lance's warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched the lives of many, and his memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
