Donald Lee Douillard, 72, of Joan Street passed away Sunday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Ludlow on December 11, 1951 to the late Eileen (Duffany) and Paul Douillard. He grew up in Wilbraham and lived in Springfield most of his life. He worked as a truck driver for several different companies and prior to that he was an auto mechanic. He was an avid New England sports fan and he loved to garden. He was the loving husband and partner for 45 years to Tina M. (Panetta) Douillard, and beloved brother of Wayne Douillard and the late Ernest Douillard. He also leaves several cousins and his cherished dog, Blue. There will be calling hours Friday from 4-6 pm at the TOOMEY-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield, followed by a Funeral Home Service at 6 pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donald's name may be made to the Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center, 627 Cottage Street, Springfield, MA 01104. For more information, please visit www.toomeyobrien.com.

Don will be sadly missed, he was a great neighbor and friend. He was always willing to lend a helping hand an shared his love for gardening with a summers supply of fresh fruits an vegetables. May he rest in peace
