Paul Homer Douillard was born June 12, 1941 in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada to Paul Emile Douillard and Dorothy Gertrude McCarthur Douillard. Paul passed away July 31st 2022 at his home in Salmon Idaho.
After his 1st wife Sylvia s death, Paul met his life companion Jodi Priest and they were married In Chubbuck Idaho on November 11, 1988. Paul and Jodi shared the love of the outdoors, animals, horseback riding and gardening. They moved to Salmon Idaho in 1988 where they built the home they have lived in for the last 34 years.
He was blessed with 2 children, 9 Step Children, 19 grandchildren and 7+ great grandchildren.
Paul started working with his dad and brothers at a young age building houses in Canada then moved to Massachusetts and became a US Citizen a few years later. He worked construction for most of his life. He was a hard worker but always made time for family, friends and his many hobbies. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge 2316 where he was a Trustee and Bartender for many years.
He made friends easily, had a witty sense of humor and would do anything for anyone in need. He was strong, funny, hardworking and easy to love. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and anyone who had the opportunity to know him.
Paul is proceeded in death by his parents Paul and Dorothy Douillard, sister Alice Farmer, his first wife Sylvia Francis Labrum Douillard, Step children Vicky Gibbs and Alan and Lloyd Labrum.
Paul is survived in death by his wife Jodi Douillard of Salmon Idaho, Children Deniece Loucks of Parker Colorado, Rian White of Middleburg Florida, Dustin White of Janesville California, Michelle Roland of Salmon Idaho, Valorie Teeple of Salmon Idaho, Stephanie White Waalkens of Sacramento California, Starla Brockman of Rexburg Idaho and Paul Douillard Jr., Siblings Kay Houle of Romoland California, Doug Douillard of Washington and Albert Douillard of Georgia.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
