Donald Frederick Garvin

Donald Frederick Garvin, 79, of Terre Haute, passed away Tuesday December 20, 2022 in Regional Hospital. Donald was a successful businessman as owner of Garvin and Lidster along side his partner and cousin Richard Lidster and also as owner of Station Break, Chicago Pizza and You-Store-It Mini Warehouse. He was born June 6, 1943 in Terre Haute to Leonard and Esther (Roehm) Garvin. Donald is survived by his loving wife who he has been with for 54 years, Nadine (Corridan) Garvin; daughter, Lindsay Kate Garvin (Daniel Kerns); sisters, Dorothy Smith and Annette Johnson; grandchildren, Amber Norton Bridges (Shane), Casey Norton, Donovan Norton (Samantha Braswell), Tristen Norton, Carter Childress, Collier Childress, and Farrah McCracken; great-grandchildren, Aubree Bridges, Jayce Page, Everleigh Bridges, Lorelai Bridges, and Bristol Bridges and a special goddaughter, Rachel Lidster Walton. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia McIntyre and brother, Leonard Garvin. Donald attended St. Margaret Mary Catholic School and graduated from Schulte High School in 1962. He then went on to graduate ISU Business Class in 1967. He was an active member of North America Falconers Association and Indiana Falconers Association and enjoyed flying his hawk "Patience". He was on the board of Goodwill Industries. Donald loved to travel, and he enjoyed spending time at his cabin on Full Moon Lake. He also loved attending his families' extracurricular activities. Most of all he was a loving, giving, adoring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Visitation will be Friday December 23, 2022 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the funeral home.
