Donald Ray Hale, 88, of Marlow, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025 at his home with his family at his bedside.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Clint Russell officiating, interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens and arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

Ray was born January 30, 1937, in Sulphur, Oklahoma to Roy W and Anna M (Stone) Hale. Ray met Kaye Denison in Sulphur, Oklahoma on December 22, 1957. He married the love of his life on January 24, 1958, and they moved to Marlow in 1959 to begin their life together. He was a machinist with Lynn's Auto Parts and Machine until his retirement. Ray was a member of the Coin Club, the Bass Club, and the Archery Club. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Ray was a man who loved the Lord and lived with him in his heart. He demonstrated that love of the Lord to everyone he met and instilled that same faith in his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and was a member of Victory Baptist Church for over 40 years, through which he touched the hearts of many.

He now walks with his Lord Daily and we know he is in His hands, side-by-side with Kaye, who went ahead to the Lord in 2018.

He is survived by a daughter; Dollie Nelson & her husband Bob of Marlow, Oklahoma, 3 grandchildren, and 7 great- grandchildren, also by numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Joe Hale in August 2013.

Pall-bearers will be Ryan Hall, Corbyn Smart, Clinton Russell, Jeremy Russell and Joe Burris. Military honors will be provided by the Stephens County Honor Guard to commemorate his service in the US Navy.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Centric Hospice.
