Anthony Edward Giroux, Jr. was born September 16, 1944 in Duncan, Ok to Anthony (Tony) Giroux and Neva Lee (Lowe) Giroux.

"Eddie," as his friends and family knew him, was a lifelong resident of Duncan, OK, only living in Texas next to his brother due to declining health in his last years.

He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in Duncan, OK through the 8th grade, then graduated from Duncan High School in 1962.

He attended Oklahoma State University school of Technical Training in Okmulgee, OK graduating in December 1965

He briefly worked for Halliburton Services in Lafayette, LA, before returning to Duncan, OK and working for the Street department for the City of Duncan, starting in 1967 until his retirement in 2006.

Eddie married Karen Sue (Grimm) on September 12, 1992, at Assumption Catholic Church in Duncan, OK. They made their home in Duncan, OK until Karen's passing on April 12, 2018.

Eddie's favorite hobby was flying. He obtained his private pilot license in 1974. He flew as often as he could afford to and kept up with changes in aviation.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Karen.

He is survived by his brother Richard (Dick) Giroux of Bellville, TX, his nephew Dawayne Giroux, his niece Tamara (Tammi) Rainwater, her husband Chris, and her three sons Reid, Scout, and Wyatt.

Services have been entrusted to Carter-Smart Funeral Home. Service will be held at 10:00 am on July 1 at Assumption Catholic Church, with interment to immediately follow at Duncan Municipal Cemetery. He will be laid to rest next to his wife Karen.
