Donald Robert Kanniard, age 83, of Ashley, Ohio passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, April 19, 2024. He was born on April 13, 1941 in Radnor, Ohio to the late Lester D. Kanniard and Bonnie (Mays) Kanniard.
Donald married the love of his life, Myrtle Wheeler Kanniard, on February 17, 1967. Together they shared 57 years of marriage.
Donald was a hard-working man. He was dedicated to his family and faith in God. Donald enjoyed fishing with his twin brother, Ronald Kanniard and playing music with his family. Donald was a wonderful person and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Myrtle Kanniard; children, Donald E. (Connie) Kanniard, Donna (James) Landis, and Ella Coffee; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Charles Coffee III, Christina (Dominic) Akueka, Tasha Kanniard-Vipperman, Langley Coffee, Ella Grace Akueka, Amoura Akueka, Laila Akueka, & Lydia Sophia Withem.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Bonnie Kanniard; great-grandchild, Brielle; sons-in-law, George McKee and Charles Coffee, Jr.; five brothers and seven sisters.
Friends may call on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. and then again on Friday, April 26, 2024 from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. with a Funeral Service at 1:00 P.M. at Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive, Delaware, Ohio 43015. Interment to follow at Ashely-Union Cemetery. Pastor Lucien Baker officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family.
