Donald P. McAdam, age 80, passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his family on Tuesday, December 19, 2022 after a brief illness. Don was raised in Quincy and later made his home in Weymouth. He was a retired Quincy Firefighter. He loved spending time with his family, working on yard projects and was an avid lover of all animals. Don was also well known for his sweet tooth.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Gail (Fletcher) McAdam, daughter Stacey McEachern and her husband Kyle of Hanover, daughter Jody McAdam of Whitman, and son, Donald McAdam Jr. of Weymouth. He was the best and proudest Papa to 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Also survived by his brother Edmund McAdam and his wife Jacqueline of Myakka, FL and Dorothy Weikel and her husband Robert of Middleboro. He is predeceased by his parents Edmund and Dorothy McAdam of Quincy.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Don's memory may be made to the Quincy Firefighters Relief Association, 40 Quincy Ave, Quincy, MA 02169.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday 10:30-12:30 in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday at 12:30 PM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main St. (Rt. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital), Weymouth. Cremation will follow.
