Our beloved Donald Francis O'Connor, 90 of Excelsior Springs, passed away very peacefully on September 12, 2024 with family by his side.
Mr. O'Connor was born on June 12, 1934 and lived a long and fulfilled life. Donald was a true servant of God, reminding all of us how we should live our lives. Don poured his heart into helping others while traveling abroad to reach as many people as possible to share the gospel of his faith. Donald was a disciple of Christ and an extraordinary legend to all who knew him.
Donald was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby O'Connor and his father, Daniel James O'Connor, his son Danny O'Connor, his brothers, Billy and JD O'Connor, his sisters, Georgia Helen Ludington and Sue Ensign and his great-granddaughter, McKenna Gillispie and many dear friends.
Donald will always be remembered by his daughter, Janice Gillispie and her husband, Roy Gillispie. Grandchildren: Amanda Robinson and husband, Demond Robinson. Kylie Springfield and husband, Bernard Springfield, Ryan Gillispie, Jacob O'Connor and his wife, Beth O'Connor, Josh O'Connor and his wife Heather O'Connor and Jason O'Connor and his wife, Tess O'Connor. Great Grandchildren: Dorian and Aliyah Robinson, Jayde and Jerzie Springfield, Gracie Morgan, Penelope, Roy and Judah Gillispie, Joscelyn and Heath O'Connor, Morgan and Mackenzie O'Connor, Cash, Sawyer and Ellie O'Connor. Great- Great Grandchild: Scarlett Ruiz.
Donald's Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:30 pm Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Crescent Lake Christian Center in Excelsior Springs, MO. Memorial contributions should be made to Crescent Lake Christian Center, Missions Fund.
