Obituary
Donald M. "Donnie" Ott, 76, of State Line, PA passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023 in Shippensburg Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Shippensburg. Born December 26, 1946 in Hagerstown, MD he was the son of Violet (Keefer) Ott of Chambersburg, PA and the late Ivan M. Ott.
He was a graduate of James Buchanan Senior High School with the Class of 1964. Donnie was employed at Grove Manufacturing for 33 ½ years. He eventually retired from Jerr-Dan
He was a member of Heidelberg Church, Marion, PA, the Kauffman Ruritan Club and the Gold Wing Road Rider Association Chapter C.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of nearly 55 years, Joanne (Hockenberry) Ott who he married August 24, 1968; a daughter, Melissa Schildt and her husband John of Greencastle; three grandchildren, Justin Schildt, Tracie Free, and Megan Schildt; one great-grandson, Kayden; two siblings, Danny Ott and Linda; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Tracy Ott.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 1, 2023 in Heidelberg Church, 166 Colorado Street, Marion, PA 17235. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Saturday morning in the church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
