Donald Lee Rogers, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025. He was born on March 22, 1936, to Audry Hope Shearin and Thomas Duncan Rogers.
Donald dedicated 45 years of his career as an instrumentation specialist in the petrochemical industry, proudly serving as a member of the PipeFitters Union, Local 195. He retired from Mobile Chemical in 2000, earning a reputation as a hardworking, reliable colleague. As a young man, Donald served in the United States Army, embodying the values of duty and honor.
A respected member of Masonic Lodge #1368 in Nederland, Texas, Donald's commitment to fellowship and service was evident through his active engagement in the community, always ready to lend a helping hand.
Donald enjoyed playing pool, hunting, and fishing. His love for fast cars and motorcycles, particularly Harleys, showcased his adventurous spirit and zest for life.
On May 25, 1962, he married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Hall. The couple moved around the country while building their family, eventually settling in Nederland, TX, in 1972.
He is survived by his wife Barbara; children Lowell David and his wife Beth of Beaumont, Douglas "Buddha" and his wife Sandy of Mont Belvieu, and Rebecca Lee of Port Neches; as well as 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and his beloved cat, Blue Boy.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Betty Coody, brothers, Thomas Duncan Rogers Jr. and Ray “Stump” Rogers, and his cherished granddaughter, Morgan Lee Rogers.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on November 7, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Melancon’s Funeral Home, located at 1605 Avenue H in Nederland, Texas. His interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
