Donald William Rolf, 83, of Oakland, passed away on June 21, 2025, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born on August 6, 1941, in Bayard, WV, he was the son of the late Woodrow William Rolf and Helen Marie (Shreve) Rolf.

Donald graduated from Southern High School in 1959. He worked as a mechanic at Star Pontiac in D.C. for 10 years until his return back home in 1972 where he opened his own garage business and spent his life farming. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Red House, MD. He loved to hunt and was involved in Boy Scouts. In his free time, he was an avid gun maker for all family and friends. He also loved to build stock cars and raced every weekend when he could.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Marie (Calhoun) Rolf; three children, David Allen Rolf and wife Becky, Tina Marie Rolf, and Pamela Sue (Rolf) Clayborne and husband Mark; five grandchildren, Ryan Keith Winters, Shari Marie (Winters) Stephens and Dave, John William Rolf and Lauren, James Allen Rolf and Miranda, and Emily Rolf and Tyler; six great-grandchildren, Maddie Winters and Josh, Laine Winters, Kale Winters, Tyler Ebaugh, Ronin Goff, and Eily Winters; one great-great-grandchild, Sloan Saldana; and special friends, William Hunt and Phil Kisner.

Donald's request for cremation was honored. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 1:30 PM in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Red House, 3301 Garrett Hwy., Oakland, Maryland.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cindy's Fund, P.O. Box 182, Oakland, MD 21550.
