Donald F. Rust, 86, of Masury, OH, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025, at The Lakes at Jefferson in Mercer, PA.

He was born in Sharon, PA, on November 30, 1938, to Kenneth Rust and Elizabeth (Klein) Rust.

Donald married his wife Patricia Sabol in 1961. She preceded him in death.

Donald graduated from Hickory High School. Donald was a U.S. Air Force Veteran who served as an airplane mechanic. He often spoke of his enjoyment during his years in the service

Donald grew up and worked on his family's 186-acre Rust Dairy Farm. It's dairy products were delivered to thousands of individuals and schools in the valley and had many expansions throughout its years. In 2007, Donald and Patricia acquired the farm and changed the name to Rust's Farm. After the dairy business had ended, Donald farmed the land and raised cattle for many years.

Donald enjoyed riding dirt bikes to the mountains with his wife and friends. They spent many years snowmobiling around the area of Chautauqua Lake, NY, and various trails in the valley. He and his wife loved hosting parties at their home where friends and family gathered to eat good food, swim and dance to "The Peppermint Twist" band that would set up in the yard to perform for their guests.

Donald is survived by: Three Daughters, Karie Rust of Masury, OH, Tina (Don Redmond Jr. ) Redmond of Hermitage, PA, Heather (Joel Murray) Rust-Murray of Mercer, PA; Son, Donnie Rust; Brothers, Kenneth Rust Jr and James Rust.; Also surviving, 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his Sister, Katherine Rust; Two Brothers, Wayne Rust and Ronnie Rust; Granddaughter, Brooke Ohl.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 27th at 12:00 pm at Hillcrest Memorial park where Donald will be laid to rest.
