Passed away October 18, 2025 at OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center--Peru, Illinois. Don was born May 18, 1942 in Pontiac, Illinois to Raymond and Mary (Mulera) Shannon.
Don served in U.S. Air Force proudly. In 1967 he married Ann Rita. They were blessed with daughter, Michelle, and son, Michael Shannon.
He is survived by 2 grandsons Ryan and Michael Dabrowski, 2 sisters Colette Hilton and Helen (Terry) Powell, sister in law Lynn Shannon, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his children Michelle and Michael Shannon, sisters Geraldine Burke, Rita Salz, Janet Salz, Greta Bertrand and brothers Raymond and James (Art) Shannon.
Graveside service will be held at St. Columba Cemetery Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 10:00 am.
