Donald F. Squires

Donald F. Squires Donny passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday August 20, 2022 at St. Peter s Hospital. Born in Saratoga, he was the son of the late Donald Squires and Helen (O Malley) Chmielewski (Stanley). He was the beloved husband of Linda, his High School Sweetheart with whom he celebrated their 50 Wedding Anniversary on May 19, 2022. He is survived by his children Todd Squires (Barb), Ben Squires (Lauri), and Tammy Hayes (Rory). Grandchildren Colin, Ryan, Layla, Jamie, Willie, a brother Martin Squires (Laura) and his beloved Aunts Patti McMillen and Agnes Schumaker. Donny started out working with Bob Talbot s business The Movers as a truck driver and mover and then was a custom carpenter for many years with his brother Peter Squires, before forming the family business Fuller and Family Landscaping with his youngest son Ben. Donny was most comfortable outdoors enjoying nature or taking a drive in his favorite Black Chevy truck. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren s sporting events. Donny loved people and would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours Friday from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm in the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home 165 Columbia Tpk. Rensselaer followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
