Donald H. "Don" Walker Sr.

Donald "Don" H. Walker, Sr., 87, of Carlisle, PA, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Monday, February 23, 2026. Born in Stony Creek Township, PA, he was one of 13 children of the Clarence R. Walker and Ethel (Baughman) Walker. Don was the beloved husband of Sally A. Walker, with whom he shared 68 years together.

A proud high school graduate, Don dedicated 35 years of faithful service to AMP Corporation before retiring. Don was a devoted member of the United Church of Christ in Carlisle and a proud member of Masonic Carlisle Lodge #260.

In his free time, Don found joy in woodworking, often crafting projects with care and patience. He enjoyed the simple pleasure of listening to the radio, keeping up with news, music, and familiar voices. He could often be found riding his John Deere tractor, taking pride in maintaining his yard and enjoying time outdoors. Above all, Don deeply loved his family and had a special place in his heart for his dogs, who brought him constant companionship and happiness.

In addition to his wife, he leaves behind his 2 children, Donald Walker, Jr. and Darrell (Amy) Walker; his 3 grandchildren, Christopher, Colin, and Allison; his 2 sisters, Eleanor Stutzman and Marie Mort; his many nieces and nephews; and his pups, Mini and Bambi.

He was also preceded in death by his 10 other siblings.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
