Donald Herman Weaver, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Litchford Falls Health and Rehabilitation Center in Raleigh. He was born in Warrick County, Virginia, to the late Issac Herman Weaver and Vergie Malone Horton Weaver. In addition to his parents, Donald was also preceded in death by his sister Shirley Rich.
Donald spent most of his life in Durham, NC, and Butner, NC. He began his plumbing career at Suggs Plumbing and Heating, eventually becoming the owner of Weaver Services Plumbing and Heating. If you had a boiler, he was the man you would call. He had a strong work ethic, a commitment to excellence, loved his trade, and was proud of his profession. He maintained the same clients for many years and made lifelong friends along the way. Before returning to the Raleigh/Durham area, Donald spent several years in Little River/North Myrtle Beach, SC. He was a sharp-dressed man and spent much of his time there shagging to beach music at Fat Harold's Beach Club and OD Pavilion. Donald was known as Papa to his grandsons, a man of faith and truly one of a kind. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
Donald is survived by his son, James Herman Weaver (Ann); sister, Katrina Weaver; and his grandchildren, Nicholas James Weaver (Jynx), Joseph Donald Weaver, and Nathan Robert Weaver.
A memorial will be scheduled at a later date.
The family is being assisted by Clements Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. in Durham. Online condolences may be sent to www.clementsfuneralservice.com.
