Donna Bader

With heavy hearts, the family of Donna Durlene Bader announces her passing on February 1, 2025, just shy of her 69th birthday. Born on February 13, 1956, Donna lived a life rich with kindness and warmth, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege to know her.
Donna enjoyed her days at Friendship Adult Daycare in Burlington, where she was a beloved presence. Her willingness to lend a helping hand and her joyful spirit touched the lives of many within the community she so dearly cherished.
A proud graduate of Eastern Alamance High School, Donna was an avid supporter of the UNC Tar Heels, finding great delight in cheering for her favorite team. Her passion for sports extended to NASCAR racing, where she followed the careers of Dale Jarrett and Tony Stewart Donna also enjoyed rooting for the Atlanta Braves, celebrating their victories with unwavering support.
She leaves behind her cherished sister, Toni Bader Hensley; her niece Alanna Hensley Yates, along with her husband Joe, and their children Joey and Harper; and her nephew Julian Alan Daniels, his wife Catina, and their children Shelby, Leelou, and Thomas. Her family, who will miss her dearly, will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Donna was preceded in death by her father, August Carl Bader; her mother, Shirley Squires Bader; her brother, Alan Warren Daniels; her paternal grandmother, Romayne Loveland Bader; and her maternal grandparents, Walter and Gertrude Squires.
A Memorial Service honoring Donna's life will be held at Piedmont Cremation and Funeral Service on what would have been her 69th birthday, February 13, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. A visitation will occur 30 minutes prior to the service, allowing friends and family to gather and remember the remarkable woman Donna was. Following the service, the family will convene at their home to celebrate her life and the love she shared with all.
In luau of flowers, the family has asked to have donations made in Donna's memory to Friendship Adult Daycare.
