Donna Battle entered into eternal rest at her residence on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at the age of 61. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Donna was a graduate of L. W. Higgins High School, and a former employee with Offshore Rigs, and Joe’s Café. “Duck”, as she was affectionately known by family and friends, enjoyed blues music, traveling, and spending time with her family. Beloved wife of James Battle. Devoted mother of Randel Berry, Brandel Berry, Sr., and her daughter and best friend Janrica Berry Daughter of the late Samuel Randolph and Hibernia Berry. Grandmother of Brianna Williams, Darryl Williams, Darion Williams, Marcus Berry, Brandel Berry, Jr., Omarien Berry, Jondel Berry, JaKai Berry, Lajada Berry, Terrance Griggs, and Ethridge Berry. Sister of Betsy Mae, and Cherry Pierre, Johnny (Alberta) Henderson, George (Sharon) Berry, Jerry (Mildred) Berry, and the late Al Randolph, Joyce Berry, Leotha Berry, Geraldine Henderson, Chichal Butler, Barbara Ballet, Sheryl Berry, Elouise Randolph, and Gail Wallace, also survived by her lifelong partner Floyd Porsha, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Services, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 10:00am. Apostle Darren L.
