Donna Lou (Clark) Briggs, 62, of Hutsonville, IL formerly of Oblong, IL passed away Wednesday December 11, 2024.
She was born in Olney, IL on August 7, 1962, to Robert L. and Mary Lou (Fowler) Clark. On October 23, 2009, she married Rodney John Briggs, who survives.
Donna had worked at Oblong Elementary School as a teacher's aide and secretary for 20 years, retiring in 2009. She graduated from Oblong High School in 1980 and went on to earn her associate degree at Lincoln Trail College in 1982. She was a member of the Seed Chapel Church. Donna enjoyed being Mimi to her grandchildren and helping her brother Steve with all aspects of Clark Farms.
She is survived by her husband, Rod Briggs, Hutsonville, IL; sons Kelby (Heather) Eubank, Oblong, IL, Kenin (Brittany) Eubank, Wentzville, Mo, Step-son Michael (Tasha) Briggs, Flat Rock, IL, Step-daughters Kimberly (Aaron) Alumbaugh, Mahomet, IL and Jodi Briggs, Champaign, IL; grandchildren Olivia, Hadley, Mason and Cooper Eubank, Landon Alumbaugh, Jayci and Gracie Briggs. She is also survived by a brother Steven (Jill Kirts) Clark, Oblong, IL along with nephews Daniel (Diana) Clark, Dustin (Lauren) Clark.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Celebration of Donna's Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday December 17, 2024, at Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong, IL with Pastor Daniel Skelton officiating. Burial will follow in Berlin Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Seed Chapel Church Children's Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home or may be mailed to Pulliam Funeral Home P.O. Box 121 Oblong, IL 62449.
