Karen Fleek Obituary
She was born on September 26, 1971, in Robinson, Illinois, the daughter of Larry G. Meeks and Gloria D. (Dunlap) Meeks. Karen was united in marriage to Michael Wayne Fleek on December 1, 1990, in Robinson, Illinois, and together they shared many loving years. He survives in Oblong.
Also surviving are her devoted mother, Gloria D. Meeks of Robinson; her beloved children, Kurtis (Adrianna Bergbower) Fleek of Oblong and Kasey (Bry Potter) Fleek of Oblong; her brother, Carl (Janet) Meeks of Flat Rock, Illinois; as well as several cherished nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry G. Meeks; her paternal grandparents, Oscar and Joan Meeks; and her maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Marjorie Dunlap.
Karen was a 1989 graduate of Robinson High School and later earned her cosmetology certificate from Olney Central College. She was a hairdresser at Hair Connection in Oblong for 13 years. She had a love for Hallmark Channel movies, going out playing BINGO with the girls and she enjoyed shopping, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends, who were always at the center of her life. She also had a deep love for her dogs.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Pulliam Funeral Home, 302 E. Main St., Oblong, Illinois 62449, with Brother Phil Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Shire Cemetery, Oblong Township, south of Stoy. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
