Donna Marie Cordisco
February 26, 1956 – April 5, 2022
Beloved daughter of the late Mary and Domenic.
Sweet sister of Catherine, Joseph (Pamela), and Paul (Deborah).
Dear aunt of Angela (Sean) and great aunt of Kade, Brady and Rory.
She is also survived by many dear friends.
When Donna was born the doctors told my mom and dad to put her in a facility. Mom and dad made their best decision to keep her & love her & to join her siblings. After Paul was born Donna and Paul were 2 peas in a pod. (but Cathy was her favorite(lol). Donna was always with one of us or all of us growing up. She was my bff.
What can I say about Donna
Donna was a wonderful daughter, sister & friend. She was always one of god's angels. I always told Donna she was smart, pretty & nice. She would say I know I am. She always said she was a lady. If I was crying donna would come up to me pat me on my shoulder & asked why I was crying. She would give me a hug to comfort me.
She went to school to till 26 years old. Then she went to work & to be with her friends at New Horizon rehab in Novi. Donna would work 7 days a week if we let her. She loved getting her pay check every other week, so she could buy her decaf coffee with her quarters in the vending machine. She worked till 3-13-20 at 64-year-old when her dementia got worse.
Everyone loved her. She loved to dance (she had rhythm). She loved all kinds of music (especially Elvis). She loved to singing, laugh, go to Tim Horton's decaf coffee/timbits. She was a social butterfly. She was very friendly & loved everyone. She loved her jewelry, hook & rug, school, work & family/friends. She was a hugger/kisser. She definitely a big flirt. She liked going to parties. When we went out, she would pass kids to adults either give the peace sign or gimme 5
Donna will be missed by her family & everyone else. But she will be especially missed by me (Cathy).
In lieu of flowers please make donations in Donna's honor to New Horizons Rehabilitation Services Alzheimer's Association Michigan Chapter Headquarters or a charity of your choice.

I found Donna to be insightful and a good reader of people's feelings. She cared about how you were and what was going on with you. A big heart in a little body.
