Donna Cox Obituary Donna May Cox, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025, at the age of 99 surrounded by her family and caregivers. Born in Minneapolis in 1926, Donna lived a remarkable life filled with adventure and an unwavering zest for life.
Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don Cox, she is survived by her devoted daughters, Susan Cox, Sandra (Dean) Eldred, and Mary (Dan) Nelsonand her cherished granddaughter, Nikki Nelson. Her legacy lives on through her family and friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with her.
A long-time resident of Mound (Cooks Bay) and Fort Myers Beach, Florida, Donna embraced the solitude and joy of life on the water and nurtured a passion for travel and adventures. In her final years, Donna made her home at the Waters of Excelsior, where she was surrounded by compassionate care and genuine affection.
Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to Kiana and the entire staff at the Waters of Excelsior for their exceptional care and support, which enriched her final chapter of life and made it so meaningful. A private service will be held at a later date to honor her and celebrate her remarkable life.
