Donna Kay Daugherty, age 69, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Perrysburg, Ohio on Wednesday, May 4, 1955, to the late Vernon Swartz.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband John Daugherty, son Chad Parrott, brothers Dale Swartz and Donald, and Uncle Ron Swartz.
Donna was a strong and faithful Lutheran. She liked to help others in need when she could. She liked to play Canasta and loved taking trips to the mountains and the beach. She loved her family fiercely from her jokes and shenanigans her family will have many wonderful memories to bring them laughter for years to come. A loving Mom, Grammie, sister and friend that will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory, her daughter, Stephanie Swartz; son, Jason Krages Sr. (Angela); grandchildren, Dinah Krages (Devin McKissick), Heather Farmer, Jason Krages Jr., Mikey Krages, AJ Krages, Ava Krages, Katie Barnes, Kyle Wood, Leeann and Brayden Parrott; great-grandchildren, lil Devin, Legend, Kameron, Zayden and Sabastian; her siblings, Dee, Darlene, Dave and Tina along with a host of dear friends.
Funeral service will be at 10 am on Friday, April 18, 2025, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 4pm until 8pm and Friday from 9 am until the time of service at 10 am.
