Donna Michelle Hanson

Donna Michelle Hanson, 60, of Austin,Texas, passed away on January 5, 2026. She was born on July 26, 1965, in Pampa, Texas, and was raised in Irving, Texas where she spent the majority of her childhood surrounded by a loving family.

Donna graduated from MacArthur High School excelling in mathematics. She continued her education and received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree from the University of Houston.

She was a teacher, math tutor, and a business entrepreneur. She was a force to be reckoned with when she put her mind to something. As a self employed math tutor for many years, Donna enjoyed her students and was so very proud of their successes. She received many accolades from grateful parents and students. Her contributions to those students will have impact for generations to come.

Donna was a loving mother that adored her two sons. She will be remembered for her beautiful mind, infectious laugh, her wonderful sense of humor, her kind and generous heart, and the love she showed to so many.

Donna was preceded in death by her step-father, Jerry Frank Kelley; her brother, Michael Grant Sanders, Jr.

She is survived by son, Gregory Otto Griffin, his wife Annie Griffin and daughter Kimmi; son, Trevor Ray Patrick Fritts.

She is survived by her mother, Twillo Jean Kelley; brother, Patrick Shane Sanders and his wife Vanessa Kay Sanders; nieces, Skyler Sanders, Bailey Sanders, Ryan Sanders; sister-in law, Lisa Lynn Sanders; nieces, Britlyn Sanders, Blakleigh Sanders.

Services to honor and celebrate Donna's life were held at Colonial Funeral Home of Irving on Saturday, Jan 17, 2026.

Donna's spirit, laughter, and love will remain in our hearts forever.
