Donna Louise Holzberger, 79, longtime Antelope Valley resident, passed away suddenly on February 9, 2023 in Lancaster, California. She was born on November 3, 1943, to Donald and Louise (Cournoyer) Sullivan in Los Angeles, California. Donna was raised and attended school in Glendale, California where she graduated from Hoover High School.
Donna married Dale Holzberger in 1965. Donna and Dale moved to the Antelope Valley in 1968 and made their home in Lancaster. Donna held many jobs over the years, including: Beauty Assistant, Dental Assistant, and even a Teachers Assistant. However, her favorite job was as a mother to her twin sons, Shawn and Travis. After her boys were in their teens, Donna assisted Dale with running the The Brake Doctor for over twenty years. Donna and Dales reputation of caring for their customers was well known throughout the Antelope Valley. After selling their business, Donna began doing child care in her home. For over 15 years, dozens of children were lucky enough to know the love and caring ways of Miss Donna. Donna loved the children she cared for as her own and was still involved in the lives of some of the children until her passing.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Louise (Cournoyer) Sullivan. She is survived by her husband, Dale Holzberger, son and daughter-in-law Shawn and Brandalyn (Pursley) Holzberger of Thousand Oaks, CA, son and daughter-in-law Travis and Terrie (Carter) Holzberger of Meridian, ID and grandchildren Devynne Carter, Garrett (Julie) Holzberger, Lauren (Mark) Barcellos, Ella Holzberger, Jackson Holzberger, and great-grandchildren Elizabeth Carter, Raelynn Holzberger, and Elliot Barcellos.
