Donna Kovacs Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Peterson Chapel – Buffalo on Jul. 24, 2023.
Donna Jeanne Kovacs, age 62, passed away on July 21, 2023. She was born on November 26, 1960 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to William and Lois (Dunfee) Dodd. She was the youngest of 3 children and the only girl. Donna grew up in Philadelphia and moved all the way across the country to California when she was 16 years old. In California she married and had 2 children, Kelli and Christopher. Eventually she moved to Minnesota, then back to California, then once again back to Minnesota where she decided that this was her home and where she belonged. She was such a loving and caring mother. She was a very private person and never liked the attention to be on her or feel like a burden to anyone. Donna was a very hard working, independent, and strong willed person. She had a passion for health and fitness and even competed (and won) in body building competitions! Donna also had an immense love for animals, especially cats. Donna also loved her grandbabies so much and lived for them. If she wasn't working, she was working out or spending time with her family. She took great care of her home and yard and took pride in everything she did. Donna was loved by so many. She will always be loved and never forgotten.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Kelli (Kovacs) Iannazzo and Jason Iannazzo and son, Christopher Kovacs and Vanessa (Gindele), her brother, William Dodd, and wife, Sung, and 8 grandbabies: Layla, Lydia, Emmett, Lucia, Jonah, Flora, Goldie, and Wren. She finally joined her parents and big brother in Heaven.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, July 26th at 11 AM at St. Albert's Catholic Church, Albertville, MN. Father Joseph Zabinski will be the Celebrant. A visitation will take place one hour prior to services at the church.

Chris, Kelli and Family, I am so sorry to hear of the sudden illness and passing away of your Mother. She was much to young, but no longer needing to deal with illness and suffering. I am not able to attend the funeral service but will be with you in spirit. May wonderful memories comfort and console you in the days ahead.
