Donna Lyn Lappin

Donna Lyn Lappin, age 80, passed away on August 8, 2025, in Franklin, Indiana, following an extended illness. Donna was born on August 2, 1945, in Los Angeles, California. She grew up in Calico Rock, Arkansas, and Kansas City, Missouri, where she graduated from Northeast High School. She married Joseph Lappin on September 27, 1963, and they had two children, Joey and Patti. They lived in multiple locations including Mt. Holly, New Jersey; Sykesville, Maryland; and Jacksonville, Florida. Donna worked as a secretary for several companies including CSX Transportation and the Jacksonville mayor's office.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Joseph Lappin; her mother Marvelle Jones; her father Floyd Jones; and her sister Karol Fountain.

Donna is survived by her son Joe Lappin, Jr.; daughter Patti Foy (Kevin); grandson Tim Lappin (Veronica); sisters Karen Brady and Billie Houser (Bob); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Donna was devoted to her children and grandson and enjoyed family time above all else. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
