Donna Jean Mickle

Donna Jean Piatt Mickle, 86, of Virginia Beach was called home on March 2, 2026. She was born on May 6, 1942 in Bellaire, Ohio to the late Freda and Earl Piatt. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Dennis H. Mickle.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Cheryl Turner (Freddie Berrios), Brenda Turner Cox (Kelly Hobbs), and James A. Turner (Renee); her grandchildren: Jessica Calloway (Phillip) and Donna Belote; her great-grandchildren, Zoe Valero (Jake) and Tyler Calloway; her sister, Mary Doty (Gary); and many extended relatives and friends.

Donna was a fantastic baker, a skill she inherited from her mother, and could often be found baking something delicious for her family to enjoy. She was an excellent friend, very polite with a sweet demeanor, though she was also known for her quick wit. Donna will be remembered for her zest for life, her sense of humor, and for her deep love of her family.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations located at 5401 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23464.
