Donna Lou Shuster

Of Plum, age 78, passed away at home on Thursday, January 5, 2023. Beloved wife of 29 years of James C. Shuster. Loving aunt of Jeff Reese of Florida and Lisa Reese of Germany. Donna was a 1966 graduate of Slippery Rock University. She worked as a physical education teacher for 30 years and also worked with children with autism. She was a constant presence and servant of Forest Hills Presbyterian Church where she was a volunteer choir director, Elder, member of Women in the Word group, Bible study, and a one-woman welcome wagon. As "Spangles" the clown she made wonderful balloon bouquets that she delivered to anyone who needed a lift. As an active member of Clowns of America International, she trained many future professional clowns. Donna was also a patriot who loved her country. She loved sports and attended the Olympic Games in Lake Placid, Calgary, and Atlanta. She also took a once in a lifetime trip to the Holy Land with Jim. Donna had a generous, giving spirit, she never met a stranger, always remembered birthdays and anniversaries, and often delivered food and gifts to her community. Her signature greeting was "JoyB2U!" Friends received at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3604 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Friday, January 13, from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Memorial service at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church on Saturday, January 14, at 11am. Everyone please meet at church.
